Written to commemorate the centennial of Holyoke, Massachusetts’ incorporation as a city, this volume by then-recently retired school superintendent Dr. Marcella R. Kelly covers the history of the Paper City’s many benefactresses, journalists, curators, writers, workers, and other women who were influential in civics and public life.
This book was printed in the latter quarter of 1973, based on newspaper articles of the time and was published in a limited run of 500 copies by Marcus Printing. As it contains no copyright notice inside, or in the national register, it has since fallen into the public domain in the United States, being published before 1976 without any such notice.
